– The automated storage/retrieval system includes a Stacking System, Conveyor System, and Management and Control System.
– Within the racking system, all storage locations are of standard size. The automatic stacker operates inside the racking system and recognizes goods access.

How AS/RS Automated Warehouses Work
– AS/RS racks store goods in a sturdy multi-tiered structure, divided into many small cells, each assigned an ID to store real-time information and status of the goods (occupied or empty).
– When a pallet is put into storage, the system manages all information about the pallet through its identifier. The system automatically calculates and suggests a suitable storage location based on criteria such as size, weight, classification area, etc.
– At the same time, the system calculates the shortest path from the goods’ current location to the storage area to save time and energy.
When goods are put into storage, the system also automatically locates that pallet through its code and retrieves the goods as quickly as possible.
– However, the speed of goods retrieval depends on the scale of the warehouse, system capabilities, and handling/loading/unloading equipment (cranes, industrial conveyors, robots, safety barriers, shuttles, etc.).
