Operating principle of Automatic Robot Racking

Automatic Robot Racking (Radio Shuttle Racking System) consists of a frame system combined with a shuttle system to transport pallets.

To understand the operating principle of this type of racking, we divide them into 2 operations: inbound and outbound:

  • Inbound: robots are placed on rails and receive goods from forklifts. Then press the control button for the robots to start lifting and moving the palletized goods to the pre-set position.
  • Outbound: press the control button for the robot to move deep into the racking to retrieve the palletized goods and bring them to the front of the racking. The rest will be retrieved by staff using forklifts.

With this mode of operation, warehouse systems will save more space than AS-RS systems. No need for large areas for movement paths.
