What is a Pallet Rack?
Pallet racking is a storage system widely used in warehouses. When combined with Selective racking, selective pallet racking is the most common and cost-effective option. As the name suggests, pallet racking is primarily designed to store iron pallets, but can also be customized to hold various types of products. Additionally, affordable pallet racks are used with wooden pallets and plastic pallets to create stackable shelving.

Structure of Pallet Racking
The basic structure of pallet racking includes 6 main components as follows:
– Upright frame: Uses Omega-shaped steel with dimensions of 60×90 and a thickness of 1.5mm – 2mm depending on the load capacity.
– Horizontal Support Beam (Beam): This is the beam that directly bears the load from goods. The beam is box-shaped with dimensions ranging from 40x80mm – 50x80mm – 50x100mm – 50x120mm – 50x150mm and a thickness of 1.5mm – 2mm.
– Support Bar: The support bar connects two beams on one level of the rack. This bar can be flexibly adjusted along the length of the rack.
– Decking: Can be used or not. Typically, decking is not used.
– Diagonal Bracing
– Horizontal Bracing
– Base Plate
