What is Radio Shuttle racking?
Radio Shuttle racking is an automated racking system that uses robots to transport goods on rails, controlled by a remote. The Robot Shuttle is placed at the beginning of the rack aisle, performing the task of loading and unloading goods. Radio Shuttle racking is suitable for warehouses with uniform goods in large quantities and requiring maximum utilization of warehouse space and area.
Structure of Radio Shuttle racking
– Upright frame: Bears the load of the entire racking system
– Beam: Connects two upright frames
– Guide rail: Where the Robot Shuttle and pallet with goods are placed
– Robot Shuttle: Loads, unloads, and transfers pallets according to commands
– Support rail: Secures the guide rail
– Protective barrier: Prevents the robot from sliding out of the system
Radio Shuttle Rack Specifications

Radio Shuttle Rack Operating Principle
- Goods In: The robot is placed on the rail, the forklift lifts the goods onto the robot, and the control is pressed for the robot to start working, lifting and moving the pallet containing the goods to the required position.
- Goods Out: The robot controls the button to run deep inside the rack, bringing the steel pallet to the front of the rack, and the staff retrieves the pallet from the warehouse using a forklift.
Operating Procedure of the Automated Rack System
- Step 1: The forklift places the Shuttle Robot at the position where goods need to be loaded.
- Step 2: The forklift proceeds to place the pallet containing the goods into the rack position where the Robot is already located.
- Step 3: Use the remote control to send commands to the Shuttle Robot to move the goods pallet.
- Step 4: The robot lifts and moves the goods pallet deep into the desired position (according to the pre-set command).
- Step 5: After placing the goods pallet in the correct position, the Robot returns to the front of the aisle, and the operation is repeated until the rack level is full, before the last position is filled. The Robot is removed and moved to another position to continue operation.
